The American Alliance for People with Disabilities is not about enforcement or the filing of lawsuits: It is about education; the mitigation of legal complications with ADA Compliance and Discrimination, the removal of barriers of accessibility, employment and discrimination and for the betterment of the lives of People with Disabilities.
The American Alliance is an organization with the knowledge and experience to educate and to mitigate the risks for businesses before they become involved in legal actions concerning Discrimination and ADA Compliance issues.
The American Alliance's legal team consists of
attorneys that possess a wealth of experience with the Disabled
and Disadvantaged population; they understand and have been on both
sides of the courtroom, representing plaintiffs and defendants.
It is the mission of The American Alliance and its Legal Division
to educate Businesses and to assist them in becoming more aware
of their legal and moral responsibilities to the disabled community.
The American Alliance and its Legal Team will develop and deliver its message in risk mitigation seminars on ADA Compliance and Discrimination to the business community as well as reach out to the State Bar Associations for approval of CLE Credits for Attorneys. Having attended the seminars, attorneys will be encouraged to join The American Alliance and encourage their business clients to join and attend these seminars. Equally, Corporate Members would be encouraged to send other businesses to join and attend. Our Legal Staff will act as moderators at the seminars and invite guest speakers such as representatives from the Justice Department, ADA Compliance and Discrimination Attorneys, Forensic Architects and other experts in ADA Compliance and Discrimination. The Legal Staff will develop the curriculum, collateral materials, disclaimers and waivers. The American Alliance will protect itself from being a party defendant in any lawsuit for non-compliance or discrimination.
